Privacy Policy

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Element Clinical Research, LLC ("Element Clinical Research," "we," "us") operates this website to share information about our clinical research site and the studies we conduct, and to let visitors contact us or express interest in research participation. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or join our volunteer registry, we collect the information you choose to share: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the study area you're interested in, and anything you write in your message. Providing this information is voluntary.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting platform collects standard technical data such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

What we do not collect here. This website is not a patient portal and is not intended for the exchange of medical records or detailed health information. Please do not submit sensitive medical details, Social Security numbers, or insurance information through the contact form. If you become a participant in a study, information about you is collected under a separate, IRB-approved informed consent document that governs that study — not this policy.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry;
  • To contact you about clinical study opportunities that may match the interests you indicated, if you asked us to;
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the website;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Submitting the contact form does not enroll you in a study, and it does not create a physician–patient relationship.

Who processes your information

We use a small number of service providers to run this website, and they process information only on our behalf:

  • Squarespace — website hosting and analytics;
  • Formspree — secure delivery of contact form submissions to our team;
  • Google Workspace — business email, where form submissions are received and stored.

Each provider is bound by its own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

Cookies and analytics

Our hosting platform uses cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and aggregate analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work with non-essential cookies disabled.

How long we keep information

We keep contact form and registry submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you joined the registry, to notify you of relevant study opportunities. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices").

Your choices

  • Opt out of the registry: email us and we will remove you — no reason needed.
  • Access, correct, or delete: you may request a copy of the information you submitted through this site, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

To exercise any of these choices, contact us at research@elementendocrinology.com.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information submitted through this site, including transmission over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to our research team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Research participants and HIPAA

Information collected in the course of an actual clinical study — after informed consent — is governed by the study's IRB-approved protocol, the informed consent document you sign, and applicable law. Where health information is involved in our clinical operations, it is handled in accordance with applicable privacy regulations, including HIPAA where it applies. This website policy does not replace or modify any study consent document.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted on this page.
